KKR majority owned. For world’s largest pure-play manufacturer and marketer of health and wellness products, lead global corporate communications for supply chain and government relations companywide. Direct report to c-suite Chief Public Affairs Officer and dotted line to Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Corporate Communications:

  • Built a multimedia, multichannel internal communications function for Supply Chain, the largest employee population.
  • Developed communications for two of the largest M&A transactions ever in the nutritional supplement industry: sale of U.K.-based retailer Holland & Barrett to LetterOne/L1 Retail for $2.3 billion and majority ownership of the company from The Carlyle Group to KKR & Co. L.P.
  • Launched internal global TV news platform serving as the internal face for the company as inaugural and only on-camera reporter and headline update anchor. Videos appear on 24/7 internal TV network, global intranet, and Yammer social network. Several videos featured externally on recruitment channels.

Served as senior-level internal communications counselor for Brookhaven Science Associates LLC (BSA), a company founded by Battelle Memorial Institute and State University of New York’s Stony Brook University to operate U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) laboratory with $1,100,000,000 annual budget. Managed and developed three direct reports, and led collaboration with media, government relations, graphics, web, video, and photography teams to deliver results. Led transformation of internal communications. Led executive communications, including employee, supervisor, and group meetings, and biweekly leadership memo. Counseled leadership on responses to difficult issues.

  • Provided strategic advice and action plans for HR challenges, including government shutdown preparation, pay freeze, voluntary RIFs, and introducing retiree medical cost-sharing.
